Delight In His Word
Day 65: Delight In His Word
Psalm 1:2-3
"But whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers."
God's Word is a source of life, nourishment, and stability. When we delight in His Word and meditate on it consistently, we become like a tree deeply rooted by streams of water—steadfast, fruitful, and full of life. This delight is not mere obligation; it’s a joy that comes from encountering God’s presence through His Word. Just as a tree depends on water to thrive, we must depend on His Word to prosper in all seasons of life.
Questions:
How can you intentionally delight in God’s Word today rather than seeing it as a duty or task?
In what areas of your life do you need the nourishment of God’s Word to bring fruitfulness and growth?
Prayer: Lord, I thank You for the gift of Your Word, which is alive and powerful. Help me to delight in it and meditate on it throughout my day. May my heart be like a tree planted by streams of water, flourishing and bearing fruit in every season of life. In Jesus’ name, Amen
