The Coming of the Lord

Day 81: The Coming of the Lord

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."

This is a powerful reminder of the hope we have in Christ’s return. No matter the trials of this world, we have a glorious future awaiting us—eternity in God’s presence. The return of Jesus is not a distant myth but a guaranteed promise. As we wait with expectancy, we are called to live in faith, keeping our hearts ready for His coming.

Questions:

  • How does the promise of Christ’s return shape the way you live today?

  • Are you living with expectation and readiness for His coming?

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the promise of Your return. Help me to live each day with faith, hope, and readiness for that glorious day. Let my heart be set on eternity, and may my life reflect the joy of knowing I will be with You forever. Amen.
