Day 90: Resist & Stand Firm

James 4:7

"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Victory over sin and the enemy isn’t achieved by our own strength—it’s made possible through the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit. When we fully submit to God and rely on His Spirit, we gain the power to resist temptations that keep us in bondage. Christ died to free us from sin, and the Spirit is our guide to live in that freedom. Let’s not wonder why we remain entangled in old habits; instead, let’s actively seek the Spirit’s help to overcome and walk in the victorious life God has promised.

Questions:

• How can you invite the Holy Spirit to empower you in resisting temptation and sin?

• What steps can you take today to actively submit to God and rely on His Spirit for victory over the enemy?

Prayer: Lord, I submit my life to You and ask for the guidance and power of Your Holy Spirit. Help me to recognize and resist the schemes of the enemy and to break free from the sins that hold me captive. Fill me with Your strength so I can walk victoriously in the freedom Christ has won for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
